Bram Rothuizen

advocaat sinds: 22 October 2008
Secties: Employment law

Since 2008, Bram has been practising as a lawyer, with a clear focus on employment law and pension law. In these areas, he has advised and represented a wide range of clients in proceedings – from SMEs to larger companies and individual employees.

As of 1 June 2025, Bram joined Koch Advocaten after seventeen years at another medium-sized firm, where he spent the last few years as a partner. His strength lies in combining specialist expertise with efficiency. He is always accessible, responds quickly, and delivers high-quality documents within a short timeframe – something his clients greatly value.

Clients turn to Bram for advice and litigation on, among other things, non-compete and non-solicitation clauses, transfer of undertakings, dismissal, illness and reintegration (including related social security law), temporary agency work and payrolling. In the field of pension law, Bram handles disputes between employers and industry-wide pension funds, issues relating to pensions in divorce, and all matters concerning changes to pension schemes – for instance, following legislative reforms such as the Future of Pensions Act (Wtp). Since 2016, Bram has also been a certified industry pension fund scope adviser, which means he can swiftly and carefully assess whether a company does or does not fall within the scope of a compulsory industry-wide pension fund. The financial implications of this can be significant.

Although Bram is an experienced litigation lawyer, his focus is always on achieving a constructive settlement for his clients.

Bram is a member of the Dutch Pension Law Association (VvP) and the Association of Employment Lawyers Breda – ’s-Hertogenbosch (VAR). Bram has registered the following areas of expertise in the expertise register of the Netherlands Bar Association:

This registration requires him to attain ten training points each calendar year in each registered legal field in compliance with the standards set by the Netherlands Bar Association.
