Mirelle van Berckel
Mirelle studied law in Utrecht and started her career as a personal injury expert in 1995. In 2002, she was sworn in as a lawyer at the Court of Breda. Mirelle has been interested in family law from the very beginning of her career as a lawyer. Thanks to the interpersonal aspect of this field of law, combined with the legal challenges, Mirelle to this day greatly enjoys working as a family and inheritance lawyer and family mediator.
Mirelle joined Koch Advocaten in January 2024.
In April 2008, Mirelle completed the specialist course in family law. She followed the specialist course in inheritance law in 2018. She is a member of the Association of Family Lawyers and Divorce Mediators (vFAS) and the Association of Collaborative Professionals (VvCP). She passionately assists people in divorce situations, no matter how complex, and also represents clients as a lawyer in cases relating to maintenance, access, acknowledgement, custody, adoption and step-parent adoption. Mirelle can also be engaged as a Parenting Coordinator (PC).
Divorce can be realised in several different ways. Mirelle will be happy to advise you on the possibilities and the path that is most suitable for you. You can contact Mirelle for mediation, but you can also engage her as a collaborative divorce lawyer or estate mediator.
Mirelle truly listens. That is the feedback she often receives from clients as well. She really takes the time to listen to your story and contributes ideas towards a solution. At the same time, she will give you honest advice on your options. As far as Mirelle is concerned, this is where the strength of a good family lawyer lies.
Mirelle is efficient and transparent and her motto is: “Deliver on your promise”. Mirelle understands that this is important to you, especially given the often difficult situation you find yourself in. Whether you are a business owner, a private individual getting divorced or embroiled in a dispute about the settlement of an estate, Mirelle is there to assist you.
